Ashish began training with me twice a week in 2021. He came to me after struggling with the lingering effects of an injury that had never healed properly. This injury left his lower back and the left side of his body weak, limping, and unable to build strength. He was determined to regain his mobility, strength, and confidence.

We started with a carefully structured programme focused on rehabilitation and gradual strength-building. The initial phase involved resistance band floor work, single-leg exercises, posture correction movements, and lighter free weights. Full squats and lunges were key components of his training, as they helped build steady strength and rebuild his lower body muscles. Every session was designed to restore balance, awaken the dormant muscles in his left side, and strengthen his lower back.

Ashish’s commitment to his recovery was remarkable. He diligently practised the exercises at home daily, reinforcing the work we did during our sessions. His consistent effort paid off, and within two months, his progress was evident. His lower back became stronger, and his left side started to feel more whole and responsive. The imbalance that had plagued him for so long began to diminish as his body built power and strength.

Six months into his programme, Ashish made impressive strides. He was able to lift heavier weights, demonstrating significant improvements in his strength and confidence. By this time, he could lift 50-60 kilogrammes on barbells while performing deep squats and forward-backward lunges. These exercises not only strengthened his lower body but also enhanced his stability and overall functional fitness.

One year into his journey, Ashish’s transformation was nothing short of inspiring. His lower back no longer caused him pain, and his left side was as strong as, if not stronger than, his right side. He had built a solid foundation of strength and was now capable of lifting 80-100 kilogrammes in squats and lunges. His progress didn’t stop there; Ashish also incorporated CrossFit into his training regimen, pushing himself to new limits and exploring his physical potential.

Today, Ashish trains with me twice a week and attends the gym daily. Strength training has become an integral part of his life. What began as a necessity for recovery has evolved into a passion for fitness and a source of confidence. Ashish enjoys challenging himself and continues to push his boundaries, finding joy in every milestone he achieves.
